Seminar 2010 is over and planning and working for Seminar 2011 has begun. The dates are set – June 6 through June 12, 2011.

We all had a great time and are working hard to make sure Seminar 2011 is just as wonderful.

The first part of that job is for the teachers. Anyone who wants to teach at Seminar 2011 needs to send me an Intent to Teach form by September 15. If you do not have one just email, or call me and I will send a copy to you.

So, who am I? My name is Mendie Cannon and I have been doing embroidery of some kind for the last 40 years and Brazilian for the last 10. Since discovering the Guild five years ago, I have attended all seminars. I have learned so much from everyone, and am amazed at how much I do learn every year.

My goal for Seminar 2011 is to make it the best for both the teachers and the students. As this requires more than one person, I am working on putting together a team to make sure all bases are covered. The Seminar Planning Committee is made up of Seminar Chair – me, Seminar Chair Past – Agnes Davis, Seminar Chair Elect-Mary Crichton, Treasurer-Loretta Holzberger, and President-Ruby Scruggs. The rest of the committees are to date:

There may be more as time goes on as I am just getting things organized.
